Christ the High Priest

The Son of God or Godman, is the second person of the Holy Trinity and Founder of Christianity. In His divine person, that is, in the person of the Word of God, His divine and human nature were united harmoniously, indivisibly and inseparably. Proofs of his Divinity are his incomparable Teaching, his unique Sin, his infinite Miracles, his Amazing prophecies but also his Glorious Resurrection. With his Passion and Resurrection he saved the human race from sin, decay and spiritual death

It is the image usually placed on the despotic throne. It is the only image in front of which a candle is not justified. Precisely because Christ is presented as a righteous judge. The oil that burns in a candle is known to symbolize mercy, compassion
