Arsenios (November 10)
Saint Arsenios of Cappadocia was born in Farasa of Cappadocia around 1840 AD. From a young age, he and his brother Vlasios were orphaned and thus, they came under the care of their aunt. A wonderful event pushed him to want to become a monk. At the age of twenty-six, he went to the Holy Monastery of Flavians of Timios, where he was ordained a Deacon and sent to Farasa to teach letters to abandoned children. At the age of thirty he was ordained an Elder in Caesarea, with the title of Archimandrite and the blessing as a Spiritualist. In addition to his other gifts, he also had the foresighted gift. He already knew of his death and that it would happen on an island. Three days before his demise, the Virgin Mary came, took him all over Mount Athos, whom he longed to see and did not claim, and told him that in three days he would appear before the Lord. He slept peacefully on November 10, 1924 AD. in Corfu.
