Charalambos (miracle)
Saint Charalambos was a priest in Magnesia in Asia Minor. When in the year 198 AD, Severus launched a persecution against the Christians, the prefect of Magnesia, Lucian, arrested the Saint and asked him to deny his faith. But the Saint, not only did not do this, but on the contrary he confessed to the prefect his devotion to Christ and declared that no matter what torture he was subjected to, he was not going to deny his faith in the Church. Then, the dark soul of Lucian increased its rage and ordered the horrible torture of the old priest to begin. Finally, he ordered the beheading of the Saint, who, through his martyrdom, received the amaranth crown of glory at the age of 113. His memory is commemorated on February 10.
