The archangel Gabriel visited the Virgin Mary by the command of God, informing her that the time had come for the incarnation of the Word of God through His Son and that she was chosen to become His mother. Typically, the archangel, addressing the person of the Virgin Mary, said: Chaire, kecharitomeni, o Kyrios meta sou, evlogimeni sy en gynaixin.

It is worth noting that the Annunciation of the Virgin is the beginning of all Despotic holidays and is celebrated on March 25.
